Things to do and see in Lyon as well as places to stay and eat.

\nFabulous city that really grows on you. Were I to return to big city life in France, I think Lyon would be my pick. It has such a young feel to it, with endless opportunities and such a great location too – mountains as well as sea not far – plus in just over 2 hours the TGV will take you to Paris.<\/p>\n

Things to See<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gallo Roman Museum – 17 rue Cl\u00e9berg – Fourviere. Take the funicular or walk up the hill to this fabulous site. The outdoor, archaeological site is entirely open and free. This probably means many do not pay to go into the museum; mistake. It’s a small wonderful collection and very well presented as well as displayed.<\/p>\n

Romans and Lego…<\/p><\/div>\n

When I visited there was a fab temporary exhibition in the lower floor, where amongst other things one could build a Roman house entirely from lego bricks – genius idea. Loved it here. Website here; Gallo Roman Museum, Lyon<\/a>.<\/p>\n
